The Yin Culture system of practice is based on Traditional Yoga philosophy.
Yin Yoga is a beautiful complimentary practice to Tantra Hatha Yoga.

COURSE OVERVIEW
A Yin Yoga Teacher Training like no other!
Retreat into the wilderness of Sri Lanka and immerse yourself in the practice of Yin Yoga.
The training is led by Nikolas Keown-Robson, founder of Yin Culture and senior teacher at The Practice Bali in Canggu. He will be supported by a small team of experienced teachers who have previously been trained by him.
In 2015 & 2016 Nik lived in Sri Lanka and taught at various retreats around the country. He spent 1 week at Kandy Samadhi Center and set the intention to one day run a retreat there. 10 years later and this vision is finally manifesting.
Nourishing ayurvedic food and beautiful accommodation at Kandy Samadhi Centre is provided so you can relax and enjoy the experience. Additional ayurvedic treatments and massages can be booked before and after the training or during lunch breaks.
The first week of the training is a transformational exploration of Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yang/Yin, Breathing, Relaxation & Meditation.
For most days the schedule will be: Practice, Breakfast, Debrief / Lecture, Technique Breakdown Workshop, Lunch, 2+ Hours of Free Time, Lecture, Masterclass, Dinner, Rest.
Lecture content includes:
Yogic Philosophy, Taoist Philosophy, Yin Yoga Principles, Yin Yoga History, Fascia Anatomy, Energetic Maps, Mind Maps, Technique Breakdown Workshops and more.
You will have one day off in the middle of the training to integrate the experience and celebrate the completion of your transformational process. There will be time each day for you to explore the forest, rivers and waterfall on the land.
The second week is focused on giving you all the tools you need to confidently teach Yin Yoga. Everyone will get the opportunity to practice teaching and receive mentorship by Nik and the assistant teachers. At the end of the training you will graduate and receive permission to teach the practices you have learned.
Continued guidance and assistance will be offered to help you start sharing these teachings with the world.
You may still join this training even if you have no intention of becoming a teacher. The skills you learn will help you in all areas of your life.
After your application is accepted, we will send you a welcome letter with more detailed information about the training along with recommendations of where to go and what to see to make the most of your trip to Sri Lanka.
A online support group will be set up so you can coordinate your travels and stay in touch with each other after the training.
